WooCommerce development
WooCommerce plugin development
We build WooCommerce plugins that work with the current store: the block-based Cart and Checkout, and High-Performance Order Storage. The code follows WordPress standards, so it is safe to update and easy for the next developer to read.
- Payment, shipping and product plugins
- Block checkout and HPOS compatible
- Ready for WordPress.org or a marketplace
Plugins that fit modern WooCommerce
WooCommerce has changed a lot. New stores use the Cart and Checkout blocks, and orders can live in custom tables with HPOS instead of the old post tables. A plugin written the old way can break on both. We build to the current approach: payment methods registered for the checkout blocks, order access through WooCommerce functions, and compatibility declared in the plugin.
We also care about the plain parts: a clear settings page, safe handling of user input, translation-ready text, and clean install and uninstall. If you want to publish, we prepare the plugin for the WordPress.org review or a commercial marketplace.
What we build
Capabilities
Payment gateways
Gateways built on the WooCommerce payment gateway class, with webhooks, refunds and order notes where the provider supports them.
Shipping methods
Custom shipping methods and live courier rates, with zones, rules and tracking details on the order.
Block checkout compatibility
Payment and shipping options that appear in the Cart and Checkout blocks, not only in the classic shortcode checkout.
HPOS compatibility
Plugins that read and write orders through WooCommerce functions and declare HPOS support, or updates to old plugins that do not.
REST API work
Custom endpoints and WooCommerce REST API or Store API integrations with your other systems.
Custom product types
Product types and fields for things like bundles, bookings, rentals or made-to-order items.
Subscription-style flows
Repeat orders, scheduled charges and renewal reminders, built with Action Scheduler or on top of a subscriptions plugin.
Settings and release readiness
A clean admin settings page, security checks and the files and text that WordPress.org or a marketplace expects.
Use cases
Problems these plugins solve
No plugin for your gateway
Your payment provider has an API but no WooCommerce plugin. We build one that works with block checkout.
Checkout breaks after an update
A plugin worked on the classic checkout but fails on the blocks. We update it so options show and save correctly.
HPOS warning in the admin
WooCommerce flags a plugin as incompatible with HPOS. We fix how it reads orders and declare support.
Courier rates by hand
Staff look up shipping costs themselves. We fetch rates and tracking from the courier API.
A product that is not simple
You sell items with custom options or pricing rules. We add a product type and fields that fit.
Orders must reach another system
Orders and stock need to flow to an ERP or app. We build the REST or webhook link and handle failures.

How we work
From first message to handover
- 1
Requirements review
We read your brief, check your WordPress and WooCommerce versions and your theme and plugins, and agree the scope.
- 2
Plan and settings design
We decide which hooks and WooCommerce classes to use, and sketch the settings screen and checkout behaviour.
- 3
Build and test locally
We build in a local WordPress site and test classic and block checkout, with HPOS on and off.
- 4
Staging and review
We test on a copy of your store with your theme and plugins, and fix conflicts we find.
- 5
Release and submission
We install on your live store. If you plan to publish, we prepare the plugin for the WordPress.org or marketplace review.
FAQ
Questions about woocommerce plugins
Will the plugin work with the block-based checkout?
Yes. We build payment and shipping features for the Cart and Checkout blocks, and we can also support the classic checkout if you still use it.
What is HPOS and does it matter?
HPOS is High-Performance Order Storage. It keeps orders in custom tables. Plugins that read orders the old way can fail, so we build and test with it on.
Can you fix a plugin we already use?
Yes. We can work on your existing plugin. We will review the code and tell you what we find before we quote.
Do we own the code?
Yes. You own the code we write for you.
How much will it cost and how long will it take?
We quote after reviewing your requirements. The cost depends on the features, the outside APIs and how many checkout types you need.
Can you publish the plugin on WordPress.org?
We can prepare it to meet the plugin guidelines and respond to review comments. The listing and the decision belong to the review team.
Do you build for other WordPress stores too?
We focus on WooCommerce, but we also build general WordPress plugins when they support a store.
